R&D Advanced Testing and Analysis Field
Samhwa Paints Industrial Co., Ltd. participated in the '2024 Korea High Performance Materials Week' held from March 20 to 22.
Now in its 15th year, the '2024 Korea High Performance Materials Week' is a large-scale exhibition showcasing solutions and technologies needed for the manufacturing and chemical industries, where visitors can encounter a wide range of information on the manufacturing and chemical industries, including coating, adhesion, film/surface treatment technologies, batteries, semiconductor and electronic components materials, and safety solutions.
At this exhibition, under the concept 'Research and Development Begins with Analysis,' Samhwa Paints presented advanced testing and analysis technologies for analyzing comprehensive chemical components used in industrial fields, such as polymers, plastics, coatings, and adhesives. In particular, Samhwa Paints leveraged decades of chemical analysis know-how to offer visitors reasonable research and development approaches as well.
Samhwa Paints operates an Analysis and Evaluation Center for sample analysis serving various purposes, including research and development, chemical substance registration, quality and defect control, and the restoration of cultural properties and buildings. The Samhwa Paints Analysis and Evaluation Center possesses analysis technologies specialized in the chemical field, utilizing advanced analytical equipment and human expertise. In fact, Samhwa Paints has earned recognition for its testing and analysis systems and technologies, obtaining accreditation from the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS) in 2013 and being designated in 2017 as the first manufacturer to be recognized by the Ministry of Environment as a testing institution for verifying pollutant emissions from building materials.
A Samhwa Paints official said, "In various industrial fields, polymer products and numerous organic-inorganic composite products such as coatings, adhesives, and pastes are being researched and developed, but at present, domestic analysis technologies that support and provide easy access to these are somewhat lacking," adding, "We expect Samhwa Paints' testing and analysis technologies to be of great help to small and medium-sized enterprises and other industry-academia-research professionals who are struggling in the early stages of research and development and certification."
