‘DESKER Brand Store Gwangju’ Opens with Special Events

A Range of Experiences from Product Trials to Themed Interior Spaces

DESKER, a specialty furniture brand that sets a new standard for the home office, has opened the ‘DESKER Brand Store Gwangju’ as it moves to expand its touchpoints with regional consumers.

The DESKER Brand Store Gwangju is composed of a main display area along with a variety of themed spaces. In the main display area, visitors can try out DESKER’s flagship products firsthand, including the height-adjustable ‘Motion Desk’ and the newly launched ‘Gaming Desk.’

The DESKER Brand Store Gwangju arranges its space around diverse interiors such as a student room, home office, living room, and designer room, allowing visitors to encounter a wide range of products suited to their purposes. In addition, the store features small offices, meeting rooms, and lecture rooms for corporate clients, proposing optimal solutions for work environments. Alongside product purchase consultations, there is also a consultation area where the ‘DESKER Space Planner’ helps customers freely arrange furniture virtually and configure their ideal space.

To celebrate the store opening, DESKER is running a variety of promotions. Every customer who purchases a product in-store receives a ‘DESKER Organizer’ for neatly storing desk accessories, while customers spending 500,000 won or more receive a ‘DESKER Fabric Storage Box.’ The gift promotion continues while supplies last. A special discount event on all products is also being held for store visitors.

DESKER opened the brand store in Gwangju to give customers who find it difficult to visit stores in the Seoul metropolitan area the chance to experience the DESKER brand and its products firsthand. In particular, the brand store is located in an area home to many professionals in their 30s and 40s and to parents with a strong interest in education, and the company said it hopes customers in the Gwangju region will comfortably discover DESKER products at the brand store that can be used across a variety of spaces, from home office to living and student rooms.

Since unveiling its first offline store, the ‘DESKER Signature Store,’ in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in 2018, DESKER has expanded its directly operated stores, opening the ‘DESKER Design Store’ in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu this past March. After its 2019 standalone pop-up store at the Shinsegae Department Store Centum City branch in Busan drew enthusiastic interest and response in its bid to offer more customers a brand experience, DESKER conducted a thorough analysis of commercial districts nationwide this year and opened a brand store in Bongseon-dong, Gwangju. Beginning with the ‘DESKER Brand Shop Gwangju,’ the company plans to expand brand stores in each metropolitan city going forward.

DESKER, which began with furniture for designers and startups, aims to be a ‘furniture brand that resembles its users,’ offering products that enable high concentration and flexible thinking. It currently operates directly managed stores in Seoul and Gyeonggi (Giheung and Goyang), and rather than limiting itself to office furniture, it presents products with high versatility for any space according to the user’s purpose and lifestyle, spanning home office, living, and hobbies. Recently, four years after the brand’s launch, it selected actor Nam Joo-hyuk as its first exclusive model, and it plans to continue various activities going forward to further strengthen its expansion of consumer touchpoints.
