DEWALT provides free loan of tools
Support spanning 12 sessions over about 5 weeks
‘DEWALT,’ the premium power-tool brand of Stanley Black & Decker Korea (CEO Hong Sung-wan), the world’s largest tool company, is supporting the ‘Huimang Dungji Cooperative Urban Regeneration Home-Repair Training’ event by supplying the items it requires.
The event is organized by the Songsan-Miryang Urban Regeneration Center and run by the Huimang Dungji Cooperative for about five weeks, from February 26 to April 3. During this period, DEWALT is supporting 30 residents within the urban regeneration area by providing the items needed for hands-on field training, helping to make the event more successful. The products provided total 68 items, including the ‘DEWALT 12V MAX/2.0Ah Compact Impact Driver (DCF801D2),’ the ‘12V MAX/2.0Ah Compact Drill Driver (DCD701D2),’ and the ‘DEWALT apron,’ which are used at the Songsan-Miryang Urban Regeneration Center and in the field training.
Hong Sung-wan, CEO of Stanley Black & Decker Korea, said, “DEWALT stands together with the local community, and we have carried out this support so that neighboring residents can live safely and comfortably in the residential spaces that are the most fundamental part of daily life,” adding, “Going forward, as a global power-tool company, we will take on our social responsibility by providing the items needed for home repairs and will take the lead in putting love for our neighbors into practice.”
Meanwhile, over more than a decade since 2011, Stanley Black & Decker Korea has devoted itself each year to social contribution activities—participating in Habitat for Humanity Korea’s house-building projects and carrying out neighborhood sharing volunteer work—under the goal of coexisting with the local community. The company also plans to continue its activities of sponsoring home-repair training for local residents and supplying the items needed for such activities.
