'interzum 2023,' the world's largest trade fair for furniture and interior materials, will be held in Cologne, Germany, for four days starting May 9, marking its return after four years. interzum is a must-see fair for anyone working in the furniture and interior industry, as well as for opinion leaders and trend setters.
The 'interzum 2023' fair, with 1,400 companies from 60 countries participating, will showcase new products and technological innovations across a wide range of interior materials fields — from furniture/interior hardware and components makers such as Hettich, Häfele, Blum, and Vauth-Sagel, to flooring materials companies such as Schattdecor, Impress, Egger, and Finsa, as well as textile materials.
Fifteen Korean companies will participate. Leading industry players including Hyundai L&C, LX Hausys, KCC Glass, Korea Gas Spring, Sewon Precision, Foresco, and Wintex are seeking to expand their global exports through their participation in interzum.
The interzum exhibition halls are broadly divided into three exhibition areas. △Materials & Nature covers materials such as wood, plastic, and minerals, as well as flooring, floor coverings, decorative surfaces, embossing cylinders, and press plates. △Function & Components features lighting systems, semi-finished products for cabinets, kitchens, modular furniture fittings, locking systems, and interior components. △Textile & Machinery focuses on processing machinery for upholstery and bedding, bedding accessories, cover fabrics, and leather.
The keyword for interzum 2023 is 'Neo-ecology.' In line with the slogan 'Shaping the change,' the main task is to create conscious living spaces. interzum presents new solutions to current and future design questions such as resource conservation, smart materials, renewable energy, and recycling and upcycling.
Along with Neo-ecology, interzum 2023 presents new flooring trends. New products will be showcased in the flooring, solid wood, cork flooring, resilient flooring, LVT or design flooring, and laminate segments, with a focus on sustainability, recycling, and healthy living.
