A vision for the future of housing
Samsung C&T's Engineering & Construction Group announced that "Raemian Universe," unveiled at the Raemian Gallery, has won a top honor at Germany's iF Design Award, one of the world's three most prestigious design awards.
Alongside the RED DOT and IDEA awards, the iF Design Award is regarded as one of the world's three leading design awards. A jury of 133 experts from more than 20 countries selects the final winners through two rounds of judging, evaluating some 10,000 entries from 56 countries.
Raemian Universe was named a winner in the interior architecture category of the iF Design Award, and with this win Samsung C&T has now produced a total of 14 award-winning works across the history of the iF Design Award.
Raemian Universe is a fifth-floor space at the Raemian Gallery, which was renovated in September 2022, and consists of a screening room, a residential experience hall, and a lounge area. The space showcases the essential value of housing as envisioned by Raemian, along with its vision for the future of living.
Raemian Universe was designed with the participation of world-renowned designer Patricia Urquiola and Lee Hee-jin, CEO of SONORI, creating a distinctive living space through a rich palette of colors and characterful finishing materials.
The Raemian Gallery, Samsung C&T's residential culture center, has been created as a space that showcases the advanced housing technologies and lifestyles Raemian pursues—including Raemian Universe, the Raemian RAI Life Hall, Raemian Earthpirit, and the Nature Gallery.
In addition, by strengthening customer-experience elements such as annual seasonal exhibitions and weekend academies, it has established itself as a residential culture space that can be enjoyed by a wide range of customers, from baby boomers to the MZ generation.
