Samsung C&T, Raemian One Perla
Real-Time Integration with Home Platform ‘Homenic’
Samsung C&T Engineering & Construction Group (hereinafter Samsung C&T) has introduced the ‘Raemian AI Parking Lot’ for the first time at Raemian One Perla (the Bangbae 6 reconstruction project), setting a new standard for the residential complex of the future.
Raemian One Perla comprises a total of 1,097 households across 16 buildings ranging from four basement levels to a maximum of 22 above-ground floors, with the parking lot occupying basement levels 1 through 4. It offers 1,902 standard parking spaces and 101 EV charging spaces, providing capacity for 1.8 vehicles per household, and is expected to be used even more efficiently through the ‘Raemian AI Parking Lot.’
The ‘Raemian AI Parking Lot’ integrates the parking control, parking guidance, and EV charging systems typically installed in an apartment parking lot, combining them with cutting-edge AI technology to deliver residents a parking experience of a completely different caliber. The state-of-the-art AI technology applied by Samsung C&T is provided across three services—△AI Parking Service △AI EV Charging Service △AI Parking Management Service—which enhance residents’ daily convenience and safety while reducing operating costs. First, the ‘AI Parking Service’ analyzes residents’ everyday parking data to recommend and guide them to their preferred parking location or a spot close to their building. For visiting vehicles, it uses pre-registered reservation information to provide the shortest route to the destination building and the optimal parking location. Parking locations can be easily checked via the in-unit wall pad and Samsung C&T’s home platform, the ‘Homenic’ app. When heading out, residents can use the vehicle-retrieval service on the wall pad or app to have the elevator automatically called and dispatched to the floor where the vehicle is parked, while the indicator light above the parking space flashes to make the location easy to spot. The ‘AI EV Charging Service’ guides drivers to the optimal charging location upon entry, recognizes the license plate to automatically authenticate the resident, and adds the charging fee to the maintenance bill. When charging is complete, it notifies the relevant household to prompt them to move the vehicle, enabling efficient use of the EV charging area. In particular, CCTV cameras with built-in flame-detection sensors have been installed to detect and prepare for fires that may occur in the EV charging area at an early stage. The ‘AI Parking Management Service’ uses license-plate recognition cameras installed throughout the facility to alert residents to potential problems with long-parked vehicles, such as a dead battery or low tire pressure. It also provides guidance to enable a swift response when illegal or double parking occurs in EV charging areas or accessible parking spaces for people with disabilities.
Kim Myung-seok, Executive Vice President and Head of Samsung C&T’s Housing Business Division, said, “We introduced this cutting-edge AI parking lot so that residents can feel the finest premium quality even in the parking space they use every day,” adding, “We will continue our efforts to provide differentiated residential value going forward.”
