LEDVANCE is running 'Switch to LEDVANCE,' a lighting replacement project campaign.

The project aims to broaden users' experience with LED lighting and to deliver a superior lighting environment. Each month, one person is selected and their existing conventional lighting—such as halogen lamps and fluorescent lights—is replaced with LEDVANCE's LED lighting products.

To apply, click 'Like' on the campaign post on LEDVANCE's Facebook page, write and submit a lighting-related story following the application form, and then send confirmation of your completed application via Facebook message. Clicking 'Like' on the LEDVANCE page further increases your chances of being selected.

Park Myeong-seon, the first person selected this past September, said, "I replaced the tri-phosphor lamps, fluorescent lights and more throughout my home—the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom and so on—with LED lighting. Just by changing the lighting, the atmosphere of the house became far brighter and warmer." She added, "In particular, the LED color-tunable, dimmable ceiling light can be controlled with a remote and adjusted through several brightness levels, so my parents were very satisfied. Above all, products like the OSRAM LED Value Stick and the LED tube fluorescent lamp can be used without replacing the ballast, so the replacement was really convenient."

According to a survey on consumer LED lighting purchasing behavior conducted by LEDVANCE this past August, consumers cited the following reasons for not using LED lighting: they had no inconvenience with their existing lighting (26%), it was more expensive than existing lighting (22%), they were not well aware of its superiority over existing lighting (20%), and installation was cumbersome and difficult (18%). In response, LEDVANCE prepared this project so that consumers can experience LED lighting and feel how it differs from conventional lighting.
