Global lighting company LEDVANCE has completed a lighting replacement project at Tirol Kliniken, located in Innsbruck, Austria. By installing a total of 6,000 LED luminaires, the project achieved electrical energy savings of up to 50% while also contributing to an excellent lighting environment throughout the hospital.
Tirol Kliniken is a state hospital of Tyrol, Austria, and a world-class medical center equipped with cutting-edge medical technology. As part of its comprehensive energy management strategy, it has established a plan to gradually reduce its use of fossil-fuel energy and is expanding the use of LED lighting in the electrical energy sector.
LEDVANCE installed high-quality lighting products—including LED panels, LED moisture-proof luminaires, and LED downlights—at various locations throughout Tirol Kliniken. The 'LED panels' installed on the ceiling of the dining hall create a pleasant dining space with uniform light and high color rendering, while their outstanding glare control (UGR19 or lower) also provides visual comfort for staff. In addition, 'LED panels' and 'LED downlights' were installed in the heavily trafficked corridors and elevators. Their wide light distribution creates a uniform lighting environment, allowing explanations between patients and surgical staff to proceed more smoothly.
Furthermore, the 'LED moisture-proof luminaires' installed in the underground parking garage delivered results of approximately 150,000 kWh/a in annual consumption savings, based on current measurements.
The energy manager at Tirol Kliniken said, "We chose LEDVANCE LED lighting because it offers excellent value for money and short delivery times, which allowed us to move quickly," adding, "The newly replaced LED lighting is far brighter than the previous conventional lighting and provides uniform light, and it is also easy to install and effective to maintain."

It can be easily installed using the included bolts and screws, and with a long lifespan of 30,000 hours and high luminous efficiency, users can choose a design (square or rectangle) according to the purpose and size of the space, such as offices and stores.
