LEDVANCE successfully held its ‘Lighting Interior Class’ on July 13 at the ‘OSRAM Smart Plus Lamp Pop-up Store’ set up in the Gangnam branch of Ceres Home in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul.

This interior class was organized to celebrate the opening of the ‘OSRAM Smart Plus Lamp Pop-up Store,’ which was created through a collaboration between LEDVANCE and Ceres Home, an eco-friendly solid-wood furniture brand.

The first session was a ‘Lighting Design by Space’ class led by Kim Ji-hee, space designer and CEO of the Ceres Home Gangnam branch, and Han Eun-young, color therapist and image consultant. The session explored the symbolism and meaning of six major colors and proposed lighting design methods for different spaces such as bedrooms, children’s rooms, and flower beds.

CEO Kim said, “Children’s study rooms should be designed with bright lighting close to sunlight to help improve concentration, while bedrooms are best served by red-toned lighting that aids restful sleep,” adding, “Also, exposing flower beds to red-toned light promotes plant photosynthesis, helping plants grow even better.”

In the second session, LEDVANCE Assistant Manager Jeong Chan-hyeong delivered ‘Easy Lighting Stories with LEDVANCE,’ offering easy-to-understand explanations of lighting terms that had seemed difficult, and shared knowledge that can help create the desired space.

Assistant Manager Jeong said, “If you choose appropriate lighting by balancing various light-related factors such as color temperature (K, Kelvin), luminous flux (lm, lumen), and illuminance (lux), you can achieve lighting design suited to each space,” adding, “With LEDVANCE’s OSRAM Smart Plus Lamp, users can realize everything they want—color temperature, color, and more—in a variety of ways with a single light.”

In his opening remarks that day, LEDVANCE CEO Kim Dae-jin said, “LEDVANCE is a German global lighting company spun off from OSRAM, a lighting company with 110 years of history,” adding, “With the know-how and technological expertise we have accumulated over many years, we always strive to present products that suit consumers’ lifestyles, and through continuous research going forward, we will become a company that contributes to building healthy and comfortable lives for consumers.”

Meanwhile, the ‘OSRAM Smart Plus Lamp’ pop-up store, run jointly by LEDVANCE and Ceres Home, will operate until August 11. Visitors can experience smart lighting by combining LEDVANCE’s ‘OSRAM Smart Plus Lamp’ smart lighting with Ceres Home’s eco-friendly furniture, enjoying a harmonious interior of lighting and furniture.
