2023 Good Design Award

Landscaping, exterior, gate pillar design and more

Lotte E&C had four of its apartment products selected as outstanding designs at the ‘2023 Good Design Award.’

The Good Design Award is the nation's most prestigious design award, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion. Held annually since 1985, it comprehensively evaluates the design, appearance, functionality and economic efficiency of all domestic products, granting the ‘GD Mark’ for outstanding design to products recognized for their excellence.

In this competition, Lotte E&C had its landscaping, exterior and gate pillar design, and kitchen interior products selected as Good Designs, earning recognition for their excellence.

The exterior of ‘Sinbanpo LE-EL’ was crafted to convey a luxurious yet sophisticated and elegant atmosphere. The gate pillar design, a symbol of the complex, was likewise praised for creating a majestic yet refined image in harmony with the landscaping. In addition, ‘Wave Pond,’ the landscaping product applied to ‘Sinbanpo LE-EL,’ is a water feature at the center of the complex adorned with a beautifully curved pond and flowering trees.

Another of Lotte E&C's landscaping products selected this time, ‘Cafe Atrium,’ was applied to ‘Lotte Castle River Park Signature.’ It is a waterfront-concept tea house placed at the center of the complex in connection with a water feature. The water feature is equipped with a rock garden (seokgasan) and a waterfall that let residents feel the freshness of nature, while the rock garden and trees reflected in the mirror fountain finished in black granite offer varied scenery depending on the viewing angle.

The kitchen-view specialized product is an interior product featuring high-performance premium windows with an unobstructed view and a hidden kitchen. With a hidden kitchen configuration in which the kitchen walls and furniture appear seamlessly integrated, it maximizes the advantages of a view-specialized floor plan by creating views, natural lighting and a sense of openness in connection with the large kitchen windows that fill the front wall of the kitchen.
