Conveying a warm family image
Samsung C&T Engineering & Construction Group (hereinafter Samsung C&T) announced that, in celebration of winter, it is holding ‘The Moomin Family's Winter House' exhibition together with the Embassy of Finland in Korea at Raemian Gallery through February 15.
Raemian Gallery is a residential culture experience center located in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and is open for anyone to visit freely. Raemian Gallery features a main hall on the first floor, unit spaces on the fifth floor, and the Nature Gallery landscape space, among others. Visitors wishing to take a docent tour can make a reservation through the Raemian website.
From September to November last year, the gallery held an ‘Anne of Green Gables' event as a special exhibition commemorating the renewal of Raemian Gallery.
‘Moomin' was created by Finnish author Tove Marika Jansson and, as a character that represents Finland, is beloved by people around the world. Moomin is a character modeled on the troll, a monster from Nordic mythology, and pursues a peaceful life in harmony with nature.
Samsung C&T plans to recreate Moomin's daily life, which resembles the nature of Finland, in the main hall on the first floor and the unit spaces on the fifth floor of Raemian Gallery, thereby conveying the nature-friendly and warm family image that Raemian pursues.
At the opening ceremony of the Moomin special exhibition held on December 15, Finnish Ambassador to Korea Pekka Metso and Samsung C&T Housing Division Head (Vice President) Kim Myung-seok, among others, attended, and after the opening ceremony a docent tour and commemorative photos were held.
In his congratulatory address, Ambassador Pekka Metso said, “I am very pleased that Moomin, Finland's iconic character, and Raemian, Korea's leading apartment brand, have collaborated, and I wish this exhibition every success.”
Samsung C&T Division Head Kim Myung-seok said, “It is an honor to be able to offer a new experience through the meeting of Raemian and the Moomin family, and I hope that the visitors who come to Raemian Gallery will have a warm winter.”
During the Moomin special exhibition, Samsung C&T will run an Instagram photo upload event and a QR code participation event, and plans to provide small gifts to those who take part.
