Moondaso carried out a variety of community contribution activities to mark May, the Month of Family.
As the leading interior-door company—the only one among specialized interior-door firms to conduct such diverse and systematic community contribution activities—Moondaso established its in-house volunteer group, the ‘Oh! Happy Volunteer Corps,’ this past November in an effort to promote mutual prosperity with the local community.
To mark Parents’ Day, Moondaso visited the Hwaseong West Senior Welfare Center and held a ceremony on May 8 to deliver daily necessities to elderly residents living alone in Hwaseong.
The western region of Hwaseong is known to have close to 1,000 households of senior citizens aged 65 and older who require livelihood support. Accordingly, Moondaso’s in-house volunteer group, the ‘Oh! Happy Volunteer Corps,’ donated forty 10-kg bags of rice and 40 boxes of instant noodles to the Hwaseong West Senior Welfare Center with the aim of supporting the underprivileged. The Hwaseong West Senior Welfare Center plans to deliver these to 80 low-income elderly residents living alone in western Hwaseong.
CEO Kim Jong-rok said, “We prepared this donation ceremony to mark the Month of Family, hoping to be of some small help to the senior citizens of the Hwaseong area,” adding, “Going forward, Moondaso will actively take part in sharing activities for the region’s underprivileged.” He pledged to work toward improving the welfare of the local community’s senior citizens.
In addition, on May 10, the company signed a business agreement with the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the ChildFund Korea (Green Umbrella) to improve the residential environments of children in low-income families within Gyeonggi Province.
Through this community contribution business agreement, attended by Moondaso CEO Kim Jong-rok and Jin Yong-suk, Director of the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of ChildFund Korea (Green Umbrella), Moondaso plans to work to provide safe and comfortable residential environments for children in low-income families within the province.
CEO Kim Jong-rok said, “Moondaso is a specialized interior-door company that seeks to provide comfortable and happy spaces through its slogan ‘Opening Happiness,’” adding, “We will work together with Green Umbrella to create safe and happy living spaces so that children can pursue their dreams and hopes in the ‘home,’ the most precious space of all.”
Through this agreement, Moondaso will provide a total of 10 million won in donations, and its in-house volunteer group, the ‘Oh! Happy Volunteer Corps,’ will take part in actual housing-improvement volunteer activities.
Since 2017, Moondaso has operated the ‘Oh! Happy Volunteer Corps,’ an in-house volunteer group made up of Moondaso executives and employees, and it continues to carry out sharing activities and various community contribution activities for the local community and the underprivileged.
