Mutual Growth and Development for the Ansan Region

Samhwa Paints & Chemical Co., Ltd. signed a business agreement with the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art on September 5 for the ‘Advancement of Culture and Arts in Gyeonggi Province.’

This agreement was established so that Samhwa Paints can achieve mutual growth and development with the local community and provide citizens with opportunities to enjoy culture and the arts. Samhwa Paints’ Ansan plant is located in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, where the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art is also situated.

The signing ceremony was attended by key figures including Lee Sang-hee, Head of the Samhwa Paints Color Design Center, and Jeon Seung-bo, Director of the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art.

Through this agreement, Samhwa Paints and the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art committed to actively cooperating in the following areas: ▲support for exhibitions and events; ▲collaboration on culture, arts, and education programs; ▲joint planning and support for cultural and artistic content provided to the local community; ▲joint planning and support for social contribution activities aimed at community development; and ▲collaboration on joint marketing and promotion.

Lee Sang-hee, Head of the Samhwa Paints Color Design Center, said, “We are delighted to be able to contribute to the local community through cultural and artistic cooperation with the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, a leading public art museum representing Gyeonggi Province,” adding, “In addition to providing paint, we plan to jointly plan a variety of content using color as a medium to communicate with the local community.”

Meanwhile, since 2015, Samhwa Paints has sponsored numerous exhibitions organized by the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, including the French mural exhibition ‘The Wall That Became a Painting,’ the cross-genre exhibition ‘Elephant, Shadow, Wind: Image, Silhouette, Motion,’ and the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art–Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts exchange exhibition ‘We All Leave Home.’
