Gujeong Maru Co., Ltd., a specialist in eco-friendly flooring materials, has set out to strengthen its offline platform as part of a marketing strategy that communicates directly with consumers.
On November 29, Gujeong Maru opened the ‘Gujeong Maru Lounge’ in the café alley on Bangbae-jungang-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Following the existing showroom at Gujeong Maru’s headquarters in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, the ‘Gujeong Maru Lounge’ is a newly unveiled flooring exhibition hall, opened in the highly accessible Seocho-gu district of Seoul so that consumers can use it more conveniently. The Gujeong Maru exhibition hall will primarily serve as a venue for Gujeong Maru dealership customers. Whereas consumers who wanted to see flooring installations in person mainly used the headquarters exhibition hall, they can now use a nearby exhibition hall within Seoul. Inside the hall, visitors can view installations of Gujeong Maru’s diverse flooring products at a glance, and the space will also be used as a general interior consultation area. The company plans to expand it into a space open not only to local residents but also to general consumers, thereby supporting the sales efforts of its dealership owners. A Gujeong Maru representative said, “As we continue to open Gujeong Maru dealerships and exhibition halls in major regions across the country and expand our points of contact with customers, we opened this exhibition hall to provide a variety of hands-on opportunities where buyers can envision how flooring products feel and harmonize when installed in an actual space, and can directly experience and touch them for themselves.”
The ‘Gujeong Maru Lounge’ in Bangbae-dong is organized into a Library Zone, a Customizing Zone, an Archive Zone, and a Lab Zone. △The Customizing Zone showcases made-to-order customizable products. It is a rest area decorated with Gujeong Maru’s signature design patterns such as herringbone, chevron, and hexagon, as well as designs proposed by combining various wood species and products with unique patterns that embody Gujeong Maru’s specialized processing technology. △The Library Zone is a space displaying Gujeong Maru’s diverse flooring materials so that they can all be examined at once. Here, visitors can experience the original ideas Gujeong Maru presents, including an understanding of flooring products by material type, guidance on selection, and customized flooring products suited to one’s own interior space. Going forward, it will be used as the space where Gujeong Maru’s new products are unveiled first. △The Archive Zone will be the space that resonates most with consumers, allowing them to browse through numerous installation cases featuring Gujeong Maru’s various products on video. Through 10 screens, visitors can encounter Gujeong Maru’s diverse portfolio. △The Lab Zone is the main mix-and-match space expressing customized products in color. It displays the desk of a worker who actually creates the mix-and-match pieces, conveying the vividness of the process just as it is, and is stocked with colorful flooring samples. In addition, various Pantone colors are on display to deepen understanding of the products, and a color expert will help customers with their choices by proposing optimal color matches based on the color the customer selects.
Meanwhile, the ‘Gujeong Maru Lounge’ plans to communicate with consumers going forward as a space for sharing a wide range of topics, such as events introducing various living and interior products and interior seminars. Furthermore, the company plans to develop it into a complex cultural space that communicates through services spanning from material consultation to flooring design proposals and connections with installation contractors, as well as various lifestyle and cultural events—a place where consumers can connect and converse, and where they will always want to stay. 070-4137-9500
