Wincche, a company specializing in windows and doors, is showcasing its premium windows until October 31, 2020, at the ‘Raemian HomeLab Green Life’ pavilion, an eco-friendly residential trend experience center themed around eco-friendliness and energy savings by the construction division of Samsung C&T.
To present the high level of eco-friendliness of VEKA’s premium windows—which Wincche imports and sells—to a greater number of customers, Wincche installed its products on the living room and dining windows of the Raemian HomeLab Green Life pavilion. The Raemian HomeLab Green Life pavilion is a space that realizes the ‘Next Raemian Life,’ reflecting the lifestyle of the millennial generation, a new customer segment. Reflecting their strong interest in the environment, the pavilion embodies technologies and performance for a comfortable living environment.
The product installed this time is VEKA’s ‘Softline ISS 190,’ which, with its high level of eco-friendliness, is well suited to improving the energy efficiency of low-energy homes, reconstruction projects, and new buildings. Featuring triple glazing, it is a Grade 1 energy consumption efficiency window with outstanding thermal insulation. In particular, it is characterized by the use of eco-friendly materials that are 100% recyclable by European standards and lead-free.
In addition, while apartment living room windows or veranda windows are generally fitted with steel railings to prevent falls, installing steel railings creates drawbacks such as obstructing the view when looking outside and detracting from the apartment’s exterior appearance. To address this, glass railings incorporating laminated glass were installed, maximizing both the view and safety through the transparent glass.
The Softline ISS 190 uses dedicated hardware for smooth sliding and closing, and when locked, the hardware presses the frame and sash tightly together to enhance thermal insulation and airtightness. In addition, applying a central horizontal bar allows the elevation to be divided, making it easy to secure a wide field of view when safety glass is applied to the lower section, while its high safety makes it suitable even for high-rise apartments.
A Wincche official said, “We pursued this collaboration with Samsung C&T because we believe it is a great opportunity for more customers to directly experience the outstanding thermal insulation performance and eco-friendliness of premium windows,” adding, “Going forward, Wincche will do its utmost to provide a comfortable living environment by presenting products suited to the future housing trend of ‘eco-friendliness,’ such as ultra-high insulation and the use of eco-friendly materials.”
Meanwhile, VEKA is the world’s largest system window company and the developer of PVC windows, boasting top-level quality based on Germany’s advanced window technology and systems. Beyond excellent thermal insulation performance, its system windows also demonstrate superior figures in gloss, stain resistance, impact strength, and weld strength—areas often overlooked in Korea.
