The Bosch Power Tools division participated in the Kyunghyang Housing Fair, Korea's largest construction exhibition, held over four days beginning February 22 at KINTEX in Ilsan, marking its second consecutive year at the event.
At the Kyunghyang Housing Fair, the Bosch Power Tools division unveiled the core technologies set to lead this year's power tool market. In particular, it showcased its innovative 'Connectivity' technology, which incorporates IoT to link power tools with smartphones, along with its 'Battery Core Technology,' which delivers the power of corded tools together with extended runtime.
In addition, Bosch arranged all of its brands in one place—including Bosch professional power tools, measuring tools, garden tools, and power tool accessories, as well as family brands such as Dremel, Freud, and sia—so that users could more easily view Bosch products, hear explanations from product managers and the demonstration team, and even try the tools out for themselves.
What drew the most attention from visitors was the 'Connectivity Zone,' which brought together the IoT-enabled connectivity products in one place. In the 'Connectivity Zone,' users could directly operate tools linked to a smartphone app, broadening the hands-on experience and allowing them to personally experience the convenience that this innovative technology brings to their work—earning high praise.
For users unable to attend the exhibition, a live broadcast from the venue was also carried via 'Facebook Live.' A range of activities and events, such as a cutting-board-making event using Bosch's woodworking tools and accessories—further enhanced for 2018—and an on-site roulette event, offered users an even more varied experience.
