‘Livart Busan Showroom’ opens on a 4,050㎡ site in Suyeong-gu
Hyundai Livart “Steps Up Push into Busan Interior Market”
Hyundai Livart is unveiling an ultra-large home furniture showroom in Suyeong-gu, Busan.
Hyundai Livart, a total interior company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced that it will open the ‘Livart Busan Showroom’ (hereinafter the Busan Showroom) in Mangmi-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan.
Spanning 4,050㎡ (about 1,220 pyeong), the Busan Showroom is the largest Livart store outside the Seoul metropolitan area. It displays and sells a total of some 2,000 types of furniture and home interior accessories — including beds, sofas, desks and dining tables — from home furniture brands such as Livart and Livart Kitchen, as well as two brands of the U.S. premium home furnishing company Williams-Sonoma (Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm).
The Busan Showroom is located in Suyeong-gu, an area dense with upscale residential facilities, and lies just across the Suyeong River from Haeundae-gu, Busan’s largest commercial district and home to venues such as BEXCO. In addition, with the Wondong IC of the Gyeongbu Expressway and the Busan–Ulsan Donghae Expressway located nearby, accessibility is outstanding — allowing visitors not only from Busan but also from nearby South Gyeongsang areas such as Gimhae and Yangsan to reach the store within 30 minutes (by car).
A Hyundai Livart official explained, “Suyeong-gu, where the Busan Showroom is located, and nearby Haeundae-gu have the highest proportion of the core customer base in their 30s to 50s in the Busan region, and there is abundant underlying demand as high-end residential spaces such as super-high-rise apartments and commercial facilities gradually expand.”
The Busan Showroom is arranged across a total of six floors. Highlights include a model house that faithfully recreates the layout of nearby apartments and stages it with Hyundai Livart’s key products, as well as West Elm and Pottery Barn Kids shops that present premium home furnishing trends. Alongside these, the showroom features ‘H.Lounge,’ where various experiential cultural content such as a ‘Lifestyle & Photo Zone’ takes place, and a ‘Lighting Zone’ that specializes in showcasing some 40 lighting products.
In addition, reflecting the ‘home stay’ trend of staying at home to enjoy movies and dramas amid the spread of COVID-19, a separate ‘Cinema Zone’ is being introduced. The ‘Cinema Zone’ is equipped with Livart sofas and a home theater system from the audio specialist brand BOSE, allowing customers to experience the performance of recliner sofas and audio equipment firsthand.
A Hyundai Livart official said, “Along with Seoul, Busan is one of the regions with the highest interest in and purchase rates for interior design in Korea,” adding, “We will step up our push into the Busan and South Gyeongsang markets by leveraging differentiated design and product safety.”
