A ceramic dining table brand where customers choose the size, material, and design themselves — 100% custom handcrafted
Brick Nine (CEO Lee Kyung-ho), a made-to-order solid wood dining table brand, opened a large showroom at the Giheung Living Power Center on April 1 and, alongside a brand renewal, has stepped up its marketing efforts.
Brick Nine is a brand specializing in solid wood and ceramic dining tables, built on a made-to-order approach in which customers personally select from a variety of sizes, designs, tabletop materials, and finishes. It is a handcrafted furniture brand specializing in dining tables, completed using handmade techniques by carpenters with more than 20 years of experience.
Brick Nine began in 2001 as a furniture wholesale and manufacturing company supplying major furniture brands, and has continued in business until recently. Breaking away from a business structure in which products were sold at high prices with large corporations' distribution margins added on, the company launched its own brand, 'Brick Nine,' maintaining the same quality as well-known brands while setting more reasonable retail prices.
In addition, it has combined the technical expertise built up by its professional carpenters over more than 20 years with a young, feminine brand sensibility. By placing a young female designer in her twenties at the forefront as creative director in charge of product and showroom design, the company is seeking to transform itself into 'a brand that understands a woman's heart,' moving away from the somewhat masculine and rough design of the existing solid wood furniture market.
The Brick Nine Giheung showroom, which fully embodies this brand concept, is the only dining table specialty brand within the Giheung Living Power Center. Customers can order custom-made dining tables in a range of tabletop materials, including not only solid wood tables made from traditional oak and walnut, but also △porcelain ceramic tables directly imported from Italy's MIRAGE, and △nanotech tables from Italy's FENIX, whose material is used as a bespoke-style colored furniture surface by major home appliance brands. By combining the various tabletop types with 11 leg designs, customers can create a design table just for themselves in roughly 200 different combinations.
In particular, Brick Nine stands out for the wide choice of tabletop materials and colors. △For solid wood, rather than the plywood or MDF commonly sold at low prices on the market, it uses premium American White Oak and American Black Walnut solid wood, allowing customers to enjoy the beautiful colors and grain of natural materials just as they are. △For porcelain ceramic, it applies Mirage porcelain ceramic fired at temperatures above 2,100 degrees, offering outstanding durability and heat resistance as well as an eco-friendly stoneware that expresses the beauty of natural materials in a uniform yet natural way. △For nanotech, it uses the NTM nanotech material from Italy's FENIX, which offers superior color quality compared to low-cost materials such as LPM and HPM, combined with nano-molecular technology that provides shape-recovery capability.
Brick Nine CEO Lee Kyung-ho said, "Since COVID-19, public interest in interiors has been hotter than ever. With increasingly diverse lifestyles such as remote work and the rise of single-person households, and with the varied needs of customers, the uniform designs and sizes of large furniture brands clearly have their limits." He added, "Brick Nine can make custom-made tables sized for anywhere from two to more than ten people, and through the largest selection of frame designs in Korea combined with a wide variety of tabletops, it is capable of virtually unlimited forms of custom-made production."
The Brick Nine Giheung showroom has been designed as an experiential showroom to convey that this is a brand offering such a wide range of custom-made tables. Visitors can directly touch and choose from actual product materials such as solid wood, ceramic, and leather, and assemblable miniatures are on display so that customers can experience firsthand the custom-made table they will complete using these materials. In addition, the showroom is running a 10% discount event for visitors who purchase a table set, and it is preparing cultural marketing by hosting performances and exhibitions within the showroom going forward. 031-946-1738
