Gonggan System Window & Door supplies aluminum system windows and doors to a mixed-use residential building

Creating added value in rental income through building upscaling

Aluminum system windows and doors are drawing attention across a wide range of construction sites, including apartments, townhouses, single-family homes, and neighborhood living facilities. Excellent insulation and airtightness performance are a given. On top of that, they offer stronger durability than PVC system windows and doors and can accommodate a variety of designs, making it possible to create highly refined spaces. Gonggan System Window & Door (CEO Yeom Hyeon-jun) recently supplied and installed aluminum system windows and doors at a mixed-use residential building located in Jayang-dong, Seoul.

The Gonggan System Window & Door products applied to this mixed-use residential building were used in the right places according to their opening method: L/S (Lift & Sliding, 210 mm), T/T (Tilt & Turn, 83 mm), P/J (Project, 83 mm), Fix (fixed window, 83 mm), and curtain wall (176 mm). At the entrance to each space, high-efficiency aluminum system doors (83 mm) equipped with multi-point locking systems were installed, addressing not only security but also airtightness and insulation.

An official from Gonggan System Window & Door explained, “Typically, PVC double windows or aluminum windows (double glazing) have been widely used in mixed-use residential buildings, but as more building owners seek to create added value in rental income by upscaling their buildings, demand for premium aluminum system windows and doors is on the rise.”

Gonggan System Window & Door’s products feature an aluminum frame structure that is highly resistant to wind. Even after prolonged exposure to the elements, there is no sagging of the frame or gapping between the window and the frame caused by contraction and expansion. In particular, they feature a multi-chamber structure that blocks the flow of heat between the interior and exterior, dual-extruded gaskets made of special materials, and 47 mm triple glazing. The average thermal transmittance across all products is 0.978–0.998 W/㎡·K, delivering outstanding airtightness and insulation performance.
