Supplies 'Eco Myeongpum Green Wall' for Samdu Apartment and Eunyoung Villa Redevelopment
Selected as installer of functional inorganic coating that reduces sick house syndrome
Semix Housing announced that it has been selected as the installer of functional inorganic coating for the redevelopment of Samdu Apartment and Eunyoung Villa.
In this project, Semix Housing will apply 'Eco Myeongpum Green Wall,' a coating that reduces sick house syndrome, to more than 30% of the wall area—Seongnam City's standard—thereby contributing to eco-friendly apartment redevelopment that suppresses and reduces pollutants and harmful microorganisms.
The Samdu Apartment and Eunyoung Villa redevelopment (union president Won Dong-seung) is located at 120-1 Hadaewon-dong, Jungwon-gu, Seongnam City, and four other lots, and is being carried out as Seongnam City's first block-unit housing improvement project. The construction is being handled by Gyeryong Construction, and the development will be reborn as an 'ELIF' brand apartment complex. The ELIF apartment complex will be transformed into a premium residential community with a total of 145 households, two buildings, and 150 parking spaces.
'Eco Myeongpum Green Wall' is a functional inorganic coating aimed at creating a healthy and comfortable living environment for residents free of sick house syndrome. It satisfies all four performance criteria—moisture absorption/release, adsorption, anti-mold, and antibacterial—of the Health-Friendly Housing Construction Standards (permissible criteria) established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. It is an eco-friendly product that has received performance certification from KCL (Korea Conformity Laboratories), a nationally accredited certification body, as well as a 2021 U.S. FDA registration certificate (Title 21 U.S. Code).
Union president Won Dong-seung stated, "Because the Samdu Apartment and Eunyoung Villa redevelopment is being pursued as part of Seongnam City's block-unit housing improvement project, the permits and approvals proceeded swiftly. As Seongnam City's first block-unit housing redevelopment case, the Samdu Apartment and Eunyoung Villa redevelopment will serve as a role model for other unions pursuing block-unit housing." He added, "In particular, as remote work hours have increased due to COVID-19, we adopted Semix Housing's Eco Myeongpum Green Wall—the finest product identified through our own evaluation of functional inorganic coating providers—to improve indoor air quality."
