Stanley Black & Decker Korea, the world's largest tool company, announced that it appointed Hong Seong-wan as its new CEO effective August 1. With this appointment, CEO Hong Seong-wan will lead the growth of Stanley Black & Decker across a range of businesses.
Hong Seong-wan, the new CEO of Stanley Black & Decker Korea, graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in civil engineering and has worked at Black & Decker Korea since 2005, prior to the merger. He subsequently served as President of Stanley Black & Decker Northeast Asia, Vice President of Asia Supply Chain Management (SCM) at headquarters, and Regional President for Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia), driving the brand's growth. He now serves as Vice President (VP) at headquarters while concurrently holding the positions of President of the Korean subsidiary and Regional President for Northeast Asia (Korea, Japan, and Taiwan).

Today, it distributes and sells ‘Black & Decker,’ a leading brand of household tools and lifestyle home appliances, alongside ‘DeWalt,’ a brand of high-performance professional power tools, and ‘Stanley,’ a specialized tool brand that handles both power tools and hand tools.
