Stanley Black & Decker Korea, the world's largest tool company, has signed an agreement with Habitat for Humanity Korea for a donation of goods worth approximately 28 million won this year, along with employee volunteer activities.
On January 21, Stanley Black & Decker Korea held a signing ceremony with Habitat for Humanity Korea at the DEWALT Customer Experience Center in Seocho-dong, Seoul, and pledged a donation of goods worth 28,221,400 won for the '2020 Building Homes of Hope' project. The donation will be used for the 'Building Homes of Hope' volunteer activities involving Stanley Black & Decker employees and Habitat for Humanity Korea.
Since 2011, Stanley Black & Decker Korea has participated in Habitat for Humanity Korea's Building Homes of Hope activities for 10 years, donating a cumulative total of 469,475,523 won. In addition, the company donates all necessary tools and, together with its employees and customers, participates in the 'Building Homes of Hope' volunteer activities twice a year.
Last year, 36 Stanley Black & Decker Korea employees voluntarily took part in the 'Building Homes of Hope' volunteer activities, helping to build homes for families without housing in the Cheonan area. They participated in the new construction of two reinforced-concrete-slab wooden houses—a total of 12 units with a dedicated floor area of 20 pyeong each—and in the structural work to erect the buildings' basic framework.
