‘Stanley,’ the power and hand tool brand of Stanley Black & Decker Korea (CEO Hong Seong-wan), the world’s largest tool company, is strengthening its woodworking tool lineup and aggressively pushing into the market with the launch this past November of its new 1650W compound miter saw (SM16), joining its existing random orbit sander, jigsaw, and circular saw.
The new ‘1650W 10-inch Compound Miter Saw (SM16)’ features a power motor that enables sawing of wood and wooden products, and is designed to perform work safely while boosting efficiency. It is equipped with an extension fence for repetitive cutting tasks, as well as an LED work light that doubles as a cutting-line guide to support accurate work even in dark environments.
The ‘300W Random Orbit Sander (SS30)’ combines a lightweight 1.4 kg body with powerful performance of 13,000 rpm. Speed can be adjusted via a 6-step dial, making it easy to use for detailed work, and a premium soft grip prevents slipping and enables stable operation.
The powerful ‘600W Jigsaw (SJ60)’ delivers outstanding cutting capability, equipped with Stanley’s own premium motor and reaching up to 3,000 rpm to cut even steel. Stroke speed can be adjusted according to material, and it offers a 19 mm stroke and adjustable stroke gearing. Angle adjustment is achieved with a 45-degree bevel, allowing precise angle cutting to raise the quality of the finished work.
The ‘7-inch 1600W Circular Saw (SC16)’ boasts powerful performance of 5,500 rpm and a working speed 20% faster than before. Adjusting the bevel angle is convenient, with no separate tools required, and a marked scale allows for accurate angle adjustment. For even more precise work, it is equipped with a straight guide and an option to adjust cutting depth for cross cutting.
Hong Seong-wan, CEO of Stanley Black & Decker Korea, said, “Following the launch of the Stanley compound miter saw (SM16), which combines powerful output and performance, we have strengthened our lineup with four woodworking tools,” adding, “By applying Stanley’s own proprietary technology carried on through 177 years of tradition, we enhance users’ work efficiency and safety, and we will gradually expand our lineup with reasonably priced products that can satisfy domestic consumers.”
