Exhibition scale significantly expanded, with 1,800 companies set to participate
Sharp increase in exhibitors of outdoor furniture and garden accessories

'spoga+gafa 2024,' the world's largest international garden living exhibition, will be held from June 16 to 18 in Cologne, Germany.
spoga+gafa is a B2B exhibition covering a broad spectrum of product categories, including outdoor furniture, greenhouses, outdoor spas and jacuzzis, garden supplies, and DIY tools. As an exhibition that spans every area of the garden living lifestyle, the industry regards it as a comprehensive guidebook offering an at-a-glance overview of current trends.
With the participation rate of leading companies from the European and North American markets increasing sharply, industry anticipation has reached its peak. Fueled by enthusiastic applications and a high rate of returning exhibitors, roughly 1,800 companies will take part, and the exhibition area has also been greatly expanded compared to the previous edition. With new companies and startups joining as well, a diverse array of ideas is expected to blossom across approximately 230,000㎡ (70,000 pyeong).
The organizers have selected 'retro' as the keyword defining outdoor furniture trends for 2024. Retro-design furniture incorporating modern elements is expected to lead the year. Attention should be paid to point furniture and accessories that evoke a strong sense of nostalgia, such as vintage-patterned beach chairs, mood-setting parasols featuring tassel decorations, and leather sofa covers.
A variety of side events and special exhibition areas unfolding not only at the Koelnmesse exhibition grounds but throughout downtown Cologne will make for an even richer viewing experience.
At the 'Forum Garden Cafe' within the exhibition hall, experts from around the world will explore sustainability in the industry, and forums on a wide range of topics will be held, including the latest trends in each product category, ways to leverage AI, and marketing strategies. 'Boulevard of Ideas,' a special exhibition where visitors can examine the latest products and fresh concepts, is located throughout the venue and presents the newest trends by product category. The 'Trend Show Outdoor Lifestyle' in Hall 10.2 is a showroom of innovative products distinguished by unique designs and materials.
A tour program of the 'Kremer' garden center, which offers a tangible look at European outerior trends and their current state, will also be conducted. 'Kremer,' a large flower nursery reborn as a multi-cultural complex in Germany, is a garden center of approximately 5,000㎡ that combines a greenhouse restaurant, a plant experience cafe, an outdoor furniture showroom, and more. The program is expected to provide experiential insights for strengthening the competitiveness of the industry's offline distribution platforms and for the mutual growth and development of the garden industry.
