One-stop interior platform Ohouse achieves the milestone in just one year and six months
Continued innovation, including nationwide service expansion and enhanced single-item construction services
Ohouse's interior construction service surpassed 10 billion won in monthly transaction volume in September.
'Ohouse,' the interior platform operated by Bucketplace Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Seung-jae), has surpassed 10 billion won in monthly transaction volume and 50 billion won in cumulative transaction volume for its interior construction service, strengthening its position as the No.1 one-stop interior platform.
The 10 billion won in monthly transaction volume achieved by Ohouse's professional brokerage service corresponds to the top ranking based on 2020 interior platform transaction volume. This achievement, reached just one year and six months after its official launch in April 2019, boasts the fastest pace in the industry.
The provision of a consultation system optimized for each customer is cited as the reason for this achievement. Through focused consultations, interior consultation specialists match customers with the most suitable interior professionals, seeing the process through to actual construction. In addition, the adoption of a fixed monthly fee model with no brokerage commission, which encouraged high contract rates among interior companies, is also credited with driving rapid growth. In other words, the analysis is that providing the services most needed by both customers and interior professionals—taking both into consideration—led to high satisfaction and, in turn, to rising transaction volume.
Ohouse's interior construction service allows users to easily and quickly search for and connect with verified interior professionals online. Without having to go from place to place themselves, consumers can handle everything in one stop through the Ohouse application—from estimated interior quotes to expert consultations and on-site measurement and construction. For those unsure how to approach their remodeling, the 'Expert Housewarming' section offers construction portfolios from professionals registered on Ohouse, making it easy to find a desired style.
Buoyed by this growth trend, Ohouse plans to broaden the scope of its services so that anyone can use its construction service, expanding from its current focus on metropolitan cities to a nationwide service that includes islands and mountainous regions. For customers who want to renovate only a specific area within their living space, the company also intends to gradually expand single-item construction services such as wallpapering and flooring, moving beyond its focus on comprehensive construction. In addition, through active partnerships with numerous companies such as IKEA, Hanssem, and Livart, Ohouse plans to continue selling products that combine building materials with construction.
Bang Seong-min, the lead overseeing Ohouse's construction service, said, "I am very pleased that, by reaching 10 billion won in monthly transaction volume for our interior construction service, Ohouse has taken another step forward as a one-stop interior platform," adding, "We will continue to work to deliver interior construction services unique to Ohouse that satisfy both customers and interior professionals."
