Changwon NC Park Masan Stadium, Korea's first fully open, premium baseball park, has been fitted with the same advanced lighting solutions used at world-class sports venues, including Chelsea's Stamford Bridge in England, the home ground of Spanish powerhouse Atlético Madrid, and PSV Eindhoven's stadium in the Netherlands.
Signify Korea (formerly Philips Lighting Korea, CEO Kim Moon-sung), a leading company in the lighting industry, announced that it has supplied its Signify sports lighting Arena Vision LED solution to Changwon NC Park Masan Stadium, which opened on March 18.
Changwon NC Park Masan Stadium is Korea's first open-air baseball park, with a maximum seating capacity of 22,000. A fan-friendly ballpark, it is designed to let spectators move safely and conveniently, with escalators connecting from the first basement level up to the fourth floor. A key feature is that the game can be watched from anywhere—not only the infield and outfield but also the circulation spaces.
With the light of the Signify Arena Vision LED solution, Changwon NC Park Masan Stadium has reached the pinnacle of a premium ballpark. It delivers the highest light quality with minimal flicker and glare, rendering even ultra slow-motion footage at 1,000 frames per second with crystal clarity. Thanks to these advantages, it can be used in conjunction with the latest TV broadcast lighting and control systems that exceed broadcast lighting standards for digital TV, HD TV, and UHD TV.
Unlike conventional metal halide lighting, the Arena Vision LED solution can be switched on and off instantly and delivers stable performance with high durability. In addition, lighting programs can be set in advance to create a variety of entertainment special effects, heightening the on-site atmosphere with light shows before and after games or during various events and functions.
