Discussing Quick-Step Flooring's Global Trends and Eco-Friendly Technology

Enhancing Product Functionality and Eco-Friendliness with 3,800 Patented Technologies

Shinmyung Maru announced that it visited UNILIN, a global company exporting Quick-Step flooring to 105 countries around the world, including South Korea.

The company visited the headquarters responsible for the international production and supply of Quick-Step flooring, which is sold and installed in advanced markets such as the United States and Europe, and directly examined new products as well as flooring trends for 2025 and beyond.

QUICK-STEP, UNILIN's flooring brand, is a proprietary product line backed by a variety of patents. Despite being wood-based flooring, it boasts 100% waterproofing and strong surface durability, and following its overwhelming No. 1 market share in the advanced European market, its recognition in Korea is also rising sharply.

Shinmyung Maru, the exclusive importer and distributor in Korea of Quick-Step flooring—which has drawn even greater interest with the recent launch of a new 100% waterproof engineered wood (PARQUET) floor—visited Belgium in person to have extensive discussions on various topics, including the actual production process of Quick-Step products, the new technologies being newly incorporated, and eco-friendly certifications.

Quick-Step products appropriately apply the 3,800 patented technologies held by UNILIN Technologies to each product group, and are world-leading products not only in functionality and durability but also in eco-friendliness.

They discussed UNILIN's corporate philosophy of continuously developing technology to ensure that every product provided to consumers keeps pace with global trends, while never overlooking the eco-friendly aspect, and once again reviewed the production process of the entire product lineup.

Shinmyung Maru CEO Kwon Hyuk-tae said, "As the importance of interior design grows, interest in the materials that fill a space naturally increases as well, and accordingly, domestic consumers' requirements are becoming more detailed." He added, "UNILIN, which produces Quick-Step, shared the same view as Shinmyung Maru on the need for diverse technological capabilities to respond quickly to such changes, so it was a great opportunity to have in-depth discussions on various issues."
