Some 100 companies to take part, showcasing new building materials

Booth designed so visitors can experience the excellence of QUICK-STEP products firsthand

Shinmyung Maru will take part in the ‘2023 Korea Architecture Industry Fair,’ held from October 11 to 13 in Hall B of COEX. The Korea Architecture Industry Fair, which had not been held for three years due to COVID-19, is expected to serve as an occasion where some 100 companies gather to introduce new building materials.

Shinmyung Maru, the exclusive importer of ‘QUICK-STEP’ flooring—which is eco-friendly while boasting outstanding functionality and durability—will present a space where visitors can experience the product’s functionality firsthand, demonstrating that even active pursuits such as inline skating are possible on the flooring. The Korea Institute of Registered Architects, which organizes this year’s Korea Architecture Industry Fair, carried out a three-month project to seek out materials offering new functions distinct from existing building materials and to select superior ones. QUICK-STEP products passed a rigorous screening process—including a first-round document review, a second-round presentation review, and a member viewing—and were awarded a building material recommendation certificate, thereby earning recognition for their functionality.

QUICK-STEP is a Belgian product holding various eco-friendly certifications and is renowned for its excellent durability and diverse functionality. It is 100% waterproof and offers superior surface strength, allowing it to be used comfortably over a long period without damage or change. Because it is flooring that is easy to clean thanks to the ‘Easy to Clean’ method, it has also been the flooring of choice at a variety of hotels and resorts, including Lotte Signiel, Jeju Dream Tower, Yak Village, and Daemyung Sono Felice Delpino.
