Cordless power tool specialist recognized for contributions to national industrial development

Cumulative production sales of 350 billion won, continuous business expansion and job creation

IMSAK Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Dae-won), Korea's only company specializing in cordless power tools, announced that it received the Iron Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit—the first power tool manufacturer to do so—in recognition of its contributions to the nation's industrial development, at the '55th Taxpayer's Day' event held at the Korea Federation of Banks in Seoul on March 3.

Through the development of domestic technology to localize rechargeable power tools, the company competed with foreign products to achieve cumulative production sales of 35 billion... won, and through continuous business expansion and job creation reached approximately 1,250 cumulative direct hires. In recognition of its contributions to national economic development and to social contribution activities—including faithful tax payment that supported the national tax administration, the creation of a good workplace, scholarship programs, and support for children's foundations and low-income families—it was awarded the Iron Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit.

Regarding the award, IMSAK stated, "IMSAK will continue to establish itself as a model company that contributes to national industrial development, and plans to continuously develop new products based on purely domestic in-house technology and to launch additional new series lineups. Based on a marketing strategy that puts the customer's perspective first, we will strive tirelessly to enhance the power tool technology that delivers free power anytime, anywhere, and to become a company that satisfies its customers."

Because IMSAK produces all of its products domestically, it holds a thorough advantage in quality compared to products manufactured in China and other regions. Having focused on the continuous development and production of cordless power tools for more than 28 years since its founding, the company has built up its cordless power tool development know-how and infrastructure, establishing market competitiveness with differentiated core technologies.

In addition, as a strategy to further strengthen customer satisfaction, last year the company newly constructed a Customer Support Center at its headquarters to provide fast, accurate, and friendly (3Day-Service) customer service. IMSAK is currently working to develop the latest products that can raise consumer satisfaction through continuous communication with its roughly 300 dealerships and 1,000 retail stores nationwide.
