Noroo Paint, Joint Regional Project

Sponsors Cupid Exterior Water-Based Paint

Noroo Paint has taken part in the creation of the ‘Women’s Safe Alley,’ a crime-prevention infrastructure project organized by the Anyang Manan Police Station and carried out jointly by the local community, government, and businesses (民·官·社).

For this project, Noroo Paint provided the paint and accessory materials needed for the mural painting and offered technical advice on the painting work. The ‘Cupid Exterior Water-Based Paint’ supplied by Noroo Paint offers excellent durability and water repellency, making it ideally suited for outdoor mural painting.

This project was carried out as a meaningful initiative bringing together members of the local community, including the participation of the local Mothers’ Volunteer Crime Prevention Patrol. In addition, students from the Department of Visual Design at Yeonsung University drew attention by designing the murals and logo projector concepts intended to create a sense of psychological stability, as well as taking part in the painting work.

Carried out as part of the Anyang Manan Police Station’s active CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) initiative, this Women’s Safe Alley is being created around Exit 1 of Gwanak Station. A CPTED project involves analyzing the environmental relationships among the offender, the victim, and the location where a crime occurs, in order to configure a space that is defensive against crime—directly preventing crime and reducing the fear of it.

According to the Anyang Manan Police Station, the Women’s Safe Alley development project is a community-based preventive policing activity in which the local community—police, local government, residents, and others—work together to identify and address problems from various perspectives for crime prevention, and it was undertaken to achieve dynamic crime prevention design.

A Noroo Paint official said, “Through our cooperation with the Anyang Manan Police Station, we are continuously carrying out social contribution activities for the development of the Anyang area where our headquarters is located,” adding, “Going forward, we plan to continue working together with the public and private sectors to ensure the safety of our surroundings and protect residents’ living environment.”
