Polish construction company ERBUD
Hyundai Elevator announced that on November 28 (local time) in Warsaw, Poland, it signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Comprehensive Cooperation on Ukraine Reconstruction Projects’ with ERBUD, Poland’s third-largest construction company.
The signing ceremony was attended by Cho Cheol-ho, Head of Overseas Sales Division 2 at Hyundai Elevator, Jacek Leczkowski, Vice President of ERBUD’s construction division, and other officials.
ERBUD is a leading Polish company primarily engaged in the construction of commercial and residential facilities, and through this MOU the two companies plan to cooperate closely to enter Ukraine’s reconstruction projects going forward. In particular, since shortening construction periods is key to the rapid recovery of damage in post-war restoration projects, they plan to apply the modular elevator solution that Hyundai Elevator is currently developing, and are also reviewing the provision of elevators on humanitarian grounds for public facilities such as schools.
Poland, which shares its eastern border with Ukraine and has a population of 41 million, has actively supported the Ukrainian government since the outbreak of the Ukraine-Russia war. Bordering Germany and the Czech Republic to the southwest, it is expected to serve as a base for Hyundai Elevator’s entry into the European market.
Cho Cheol-ho, Head of Overseas Sales Division 2 at Hyundai Elevator, said, “Hyundai Elevator regards earning trust as a more important value than selling products,” adding, “We hope that Hyundai’s corporate spirit will open the way for cooperation in Poland and Ukraine.”
