Baekjo Sink Co., Ltd., a specialized manufacturer of stainless steel sink bowls, is moving to expand its presence in the European market. APELL, Baekjo Sink's Italian partner, has given high marks to Baekjo Sink's outstanding technical capabilities and superior products, and will serve as a bridgehead for entry into the European market centered on Italy.
The first Baekjo Sink product to be exported to Italy is the 'SDS850.' Launched domestically in 2017, the SDS850 is a new product that, built on Baekjo Sink's excellent technology, features corners formed at a 30R radius to give the impression of a square sink bowl. In addition, a variety of accessories such as baskets, pockets, and drainer bowls allow it to be used in diverse ways according to the user's environment. Baekjo Sink plans to appeal to European consumers by emphasizing these product strengths as well as the fact that it has been localized with a small drain rather than a large drain, in keeping with European kitchen environments.
Exports to the Italian market will be carried out under the brand of its partner, APELL. A reasonable pricing strategy will be pursued to build broad popularity, while the business environment and the potential for market expansion are assessed. Baekjo Sink will begin its first shipment in January, and plans to continue expanding its lineup of export products with flagship items such as the 'Quiet Sink Bowl' following the 'SDS850.'
APELL, an Italian company specializing in premium sink bowls, is a brand loved throughout Europe for its distinctively simple and refined design, and it will actively support Baekjo Sink's market entry with its strong brand recognition across Europe and its solid distribution network. In January of last year, APELL selected Baekjo Sink as its sole official importer for Korea and East Asia, forming a close partnership with the company.
