Eagon Windows, a company specializing in premium system windows, announced that it was featured as a mid-sized company leading the nation's economic growth through cutting-edge technology on KBS1 TV's technology powerhouse project 'Junggyeon Malli,' which aired on October 29.
KBS 'Junggyeon Malli' is a program designed to widely publicize the excellence of mid-sized companies leaping onto the world stage through creativity, and this year marks its fifth season. In the season's first broadcast, Eagon Windows revealed the strategy by which it built unrivaled technological capabilities and know-how in the fields of aluminum system windows and vacuum glass, growing into a building-materials company that has drawn attention not only domestically but also in the overseas premium construction market.
In July of this year, Eagon Windows was selected as a World Class company in the 'vacuum glass' field at the '2023 World Class Company Selection Ceremony' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, earning recognition for its unrivaled product performance along with its differentiation strategy based on vacuum glass mass-production technology and its future growth potential.
The Eagon Windows facility featured in the broadcast boasts a site of 30,455㎡ and a building area of 21,500㎡, making it the largest single-product manufacturing plant in the country, and it showcased Eagon Windows' unrivaled technological capabilities in vacuum glass, aluminum system windows, and more.
The vacuum glass developed by Eagon Windows, despite its thin 27.25㎜ thickness, possesses insulation and sound-blocking performance comparable to a 260㎜ building exterior wall, achieving Grade 1 window energy consumption efficiency even as a single-pane window. According to Hwang Seong-hyun, leader of the Vacuum Glass Production Team, "In recent buildings, the area of glass used is growing larger, and Eagon Windows' vacuum glass can even block out noise," he said with pride. Also noteworthy is that the company became the first in the world to obtain German Passive House certification in the vacuum glass field.
