EAGON Windows' ‘SUPER Vacuum Glass’ is an insulating glass in which a vacuum layer formed between the panes fundamentally blocks heat transfer by convection. It was the world's first in the vacuum glass field to obtain the German Passive House Institute's ‘PHI Component Certification,’ earning global recognition for its innovative technology.
The insulation effect of ‘SUPER Vacuum Glass’ (0.36 W/㎡K) is more than four times superior to the Low-E double glazing (1.76 W/㎡K) used in typical apartment windows. Despite its thin glass thickness of 27.3㎜, it achieves a heat transmission coefficient comparable to that of a 26㎝-thick concrete wall, helping to reduce heating and cooling costs. Applying ‘SUPER Vacuum Glass’ to a 30–40 pyeong apartment reduces energy consumption by about 42% (approximately 8,149 kWh) compared to ordinary glass (22㎜) and can save around 680,000 won in electricity bills per year.
