First live performances since the pandemic

Six performances across four cities nationwide

EAGON, a comprehensive building materials company, announced that the ‘33rd EAGON Music Concert’—held as live performances for the first time in two years since the COVID-19 pandemic—successfully concluded its seven days of performances, delivering warm messages of support and encouragement to audiences.

The 33rd EAGON Music Concert marked its full-fledged opening with a premiere performance at Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul on Friday, November 11. It then went on to give a total of six performances across four cities nationwide—△Incheon Arts Center, △Seoul Arts Center, △Tongyeong Concert Hall, and △Busan Geumjeong Cultural Center—delivering deep emotion to audiences on-site.

For audiences left emotionally weary through the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, EAGON chose ‘Recovery’ as the theme of the 33rd EAGON Music Concert, conveying warm messages of support and encouragement through the beautiful melodies of world-class performers.

Following its participation in the 31st concert, the ‘Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn,’ a prestigious German chamber orchestra, once again took part as the main performer for this concert, while world-renowned violinist Michael Barenboim joined as a guest performer to present a high-caliber ensemble.

The EAGON Music Concert is a free classical music concert that has been held annually for 33 years since 1990 to share the emotion of music with local communities, and it is the longest-running corporate-hosted concert in Korea. With the goal of practicing sharing through music, it introduces music of various genres—not only the melodies of authentic string orchestras but also mandolin, classical guitar, and other works—by inviting talented overseas performers who are not well known in Korea. In addition, EAGON is striving to deliver messages of hope through music to as many people as possible, reaching not only the Seoul metropolitan area but also major regional cities.

Meanwhile, EAGON will hold an online performance in late December so that audiences can once again experience the emotion of the concert. The online performance is a recording of the live Tongyeong performance from the 33rd EAGON Music Concert, and it will be broadcast simultaneously on the EAGON Music Concert’s YouTube channel and Tomato TV, available for anyone to watch.
