iNus, the total living brand of IS Dongseo (CEO Kwon Min-seok), a comprehensive construction and building materials company, has been ranked No. 1 in the ceramic tile category of the ‘2019 Korea Quality Satisfaction Index (KS-QEI)’ for the 14th consecutive year.
The Korea Quality Satisfaction Index (KS-QEI) is Korea’s only comprehensive quality satisfaction indicator, which surveys and announces product quality excellence and satisfaction among consumers and experts who have experience using the relevant products. It is measured using a product and service quality measurement model jointly developed by the Korean Standards Association and the Korean Society for Quality Management. The No. 1 company is selected through a detailed evaluation of usage quality—which assesses reliability, performance, durability, safety, accessibility, and usability of products and services—and emotional quality, which assesses image, awareness, and novelty.
iNus, ranked No. 1 in the ceramic tile category for the 14th consecutive year, has been leading the tile market for more than 40 years on the strength of Korea’s largest state-of-the-art facility plant and rigorous quality control. iNus currently maintains the No. 1 position in Korea’s domestic tile market, and iNus tiles are used throughout iNus Bath, IS Dongseo’s bathroom remodeling specialty brand.
To promote the division of labor and specialization of the body material that serves as the raw material for tiles, iNus operates a separate Hadong plant that produces the body material, while carrying out tile design development and production at its Goesan plant (floor tile production) and Jinju plant (floor and wall tile production). Since 2013, the company has introduced inkjet digital printers capable of three-dimensional printing regardless of the surface contours of the tile, improving product quality and shortening manufacturing time. On this basis, it currently offers the market an outstanding range of more than 3,000 tile designs.
An iNus official said, “As a result of our tireless efforts—such as applying our own standards that are more stringent than the Korean Industrial Standards (KS) and using eco-friendly materials—we have won No. 1 in the Korea Quality Satisfaction Index for the 14th consecutive year,” adding, “We will continue striving to make the highest-quality tiles that consumers can use with satisfaction for a long time.”
