The "54th MBC Architecture Expo," hosted by MBC and organized by Donga Jeonram Co., Ltd., was held from November 5 to 8 at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Ilsan. The MBC Architecture Expo aims to present trends in building materials through the promotion of participating companies' new products, to promote related technology development, and to invigorate the relevant industries by helping participating companies open up new sales channels.
At the 54th MBC Architecture Expo, visitors were able to encounter a wide range of construction-related items—including home design and construction, building materials, and interior products—all in one place. In particular, as regional architecture expos were canceled one after another, the event served as a valuable opportunity to satisfy prospective homeowners and general consumers with a strong interest in interior design. The expo offered a look at the latest issues and trends in the construction market, and provided useful information for those working in the construction and interior industries as well as for prospective homeowners.
In the exhibition segment, the "2020 Seoul Heating, Cooling and Building Equipment Expo" and the "2020 Donga Garden and Landscaping Expo"—both differentiated from other architecture exhibitions—were held concurrently, maximizing the exhibition impact for participating companies and the focus of visitors. In addition, thorough preventive measures were put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, with disinfection carried out safely throughout the exhibition period and viewing conducted with consistent social distancing. Visitors were required to wear masks when entering the exhibition hall, and those with respiratory symptoms such as fever, coughing, or a sore throat were restricted from entering.
The exhibits and items featured at the 52nd MBC Architecture Expo, held concurrently with the "Donga Jeonram Cyber Architecture Expo," included home automation and security, structural materials, construction tools and equipment, building information, water supply and sanitary equipment, interior and exterior finishing materials, heating and cooling equipment, waterproofing and insulation, coating materials, glass and window/door materials, country homes, public facilities and landscaping, and lighting, digital printing, and signage.
Major participating companies included a wide range of building materials firms such as Shinil Frame, Korea Virtual Reality, Boorim Tech, Daehyun Tech, Susanghan Nanbang, Wall & Roof Exterior, Unitop Story, Hana Jungmun, Iga Door Industry, CS Korea, Wow Door, Joeun Achim Chang, Nest, Geonmin Stone, Windoor Korea, Karista Korea, Alprime, Wood Plus, Korea PD Door, and Hansung Board Bath, all of which showcased their products.
Meanwhile, Donga Jeonram Co., Ltd. is recruiting exhibitors for the "55th MBC Architecture Expo," to be held from January 21 to 24, 2021, at the SETEC exhibition hall near Hagyeoul Station in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and at the aT Center near Yangjae Citizens' Forest Station on the Shinbundang Line. The "55th MBC Architecture Expo," set to bring a warm breeze amid the construction slump caused by the fallout from COVID-19, is expected to draw the concentrated attention of buyers and industry professionals, as it will offer a one-stop view of the most noteworthy new products and technologies of the new year.
The expo will be organized to provide an at-a-glance view of diverse construction information—not only building materials and construction tools, country homes, gardens and landscaping, and interiors, but also home network systems and household and kitchen furniture—with the goal of invigorating the related industries. According to Donga Jeonram, "Inquiries from companies in the field continue to come in, so companies wishing to exhibit should hurry to submit their applications." Those who pre-register on the Donga Jeonram website will be sent a complimentary admission invitation. 02-780-0366
