23rd Natural Environment Awards
Residential spaces and business facilities built by Lotte Engineering & Construction proved their excellence by winning consecutive landscaping awards.
First, Lotte E&C achieved a double crown by winning both the Environment Minister's Award and the Association President's Award at the '14th Green Roof & Vertical Greening Awards' ceremony held on October 22 at the UNESCO Building in Myeong-dong, Seoul.
'G-Tower,' which won the Environment Minister's Award, is the new headquarters of game company Netmarble and was designed as a hub space where people, nature, and culture coexist in harmony. G-Tower received the grand prize in recognition of its facilities that harmonize with nature—such as an aquatic biotope, a terrestrial biotope, wall greening, and a sky garden—as well as spaces like the 'KK Madang,' where citizens can take part in community activities using the green and waterfront areas.
'Lotte Castle River Park Signature,' which won the Association President's Award, is a complex of 878 households located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, featuring differentiated landscaping in line with recent residential trends. The complex earned high marks for increasing its greening area ratio by creating landscaping throughout its various spaces, including a rockery (seokgasan) at the central plaza, an ecological pond, a rock garden and moss garden, and a rooftop garden.
In addition, 'Songpa Lotte Castle Signature' won the Environment Minister's Award at the '23rd Natural Environment Awards' ceremony held on the 23rd at the aT Center in Seocho-gu.
'Songpa Lotte Castle Signature' is a complex of 1,945 households located in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The complex is characterized by forest paths created with lush trees, a healthy ecological environment formed by various flowering plants beneath them, and natural seasonal gardens designed to let residents feel the passage of time.
