ISO 45001 Certification Obtained

Chokwang Paint (CEO Yang Seong-a) announced that it has obtained 'ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System)' certification for its Eumseong plant from the Korean Standards Association.
ISO 45001 certification is an international standard for identifying and preventively managing risk factors that may arise in the workplace and for creating a safe working environment; it is granted to companies that meet the requirements of the occupational health and safety management system.
The certification award ceremony, held on August 22 at the Korean Standards Association in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was attended by officials including Kim Jin-hee, head of Chokwang Paint's SHEQ Center, and Lee Kyung-geun, Executive Director of the Korean Standards Association.
Chokwang Paint has established an occupational health and safety management policy and organized a health and safety team to prevent serious accidents that may occur in the workplace and to improve related issues. In addition, the company strengthened its occupational health and safety management system by establishing an integrated manual that incorporates a safety manual into its existing quality and environmental manuals.
Kim Jin-hee, head of Chokwang Paint's SHEQ Center, stated, "Based on the principle that the safety of our employees and stakeholders comes first, we will strive to provide high-quality services in a safe working environment," adding, "We expect that this ISO 45001 certification will enable us to carry out more systematic safety management and serious-accident prevention activities."
