Signs MOU for $200,000 Export Contract with U.S. Kitchen Furniture Company 'Vesta Oh'

Supplying kitchen furniture doors under KOTRA export support program

Jaehyun Intex Co., Ltd. (CEO Ka Se-hyun), which has been strengthening its foothold in the domestic building materials market through Jaehyun Haneulchang, a brand specializing in interior and interior/exterior finishing materials, has begun to fully pursue entry into overseas markets.

In connection with this, Jaehyun Intex announced that it participated in the '2022 First Step to Export Expo,' held from April 21 to 22 at the SETEC exhibition hall in Seoul under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA, and signed an MOU for a $200,000 export contract for kitchen furniture doors with Vesta Oh, a U.S. company specializing in the design and sale of kitchen furniture.

The '2022 First Step to Export Expo,' organized by KOTRA to mark its 60th anniversary, drew numerous overseas buyers who had been cut off due to COVID-19, and some 700 domestic companies—including Jaehyun Intex, startups, and domestic-market firms—took part, conducting consultations both online and offline.

In addition to the U.S. company Vesta Oh, with which it signed the $200,000 export MOU, Jaehyun Intex achieved positive results by holding export-related consultations with a variety of overseas buyers from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and elsewhere. Having secured a bridgehead into the North American market through this business agreement with the U.S. company, Jaehyun Intex plans to further expand its export lineup—starting with kitchen furniture doors and extending to the various interior and interior/exterior finishing products of the Jaehyun Haneulchang brand—and to continue broadening its export channels into Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

With regard to entering overseas markets, Jaehyun Intex has already been conducting exports centered on Asia and the Middle East since the mid-2010s through government-led overseas market development projects and the Icheon City overseas market pioneering delegation program.

Ka Se-hyun, CEO of Jaehyun Intex, said, "Based on the know-how and experience accumulated over 39 years, Jaehyun Intex has expanded production of its eco-friendly premium line and has pursued business diversification into IoT-integrated smart homes, bathrooms, and kitchen furniture. Now, as COVID-19 moves toward becoming endemic, this is a crucial moment when global business is fully resuming." He added, "Taking this business agreement as an opportunity, we plan to accelerate our expansion not only in the domestic market but also into overseas markets. Through continuous new product development, we will introduce interior and interior/exterior finishing products that meet the needs and trends of overseas customers, and we will strive to grow the Jaehyun Haneulchang brand into a global brand."

Meanwhile, Jaehyun Intex has unveiled a new brand identity (BI) tailored to consumer expectations, expressing the brand in a modern way suited to the digital age. The new BI highlights broad appeal through a more intuitive symbol mark for Jaehyun Haneulchang and a soft, friendly logotype. The symbol mark, which represents the 'JH' of Jaehyun Haneulchang, embodies an open door and a window reflecting the sky, expressing the brand's identity. Nature-friendly colors symbolizing nature, space, and the sky were applied to convey the brand's value and enhance visibility.
