Kiturami Conducts Survey to Mark Launch of Window-Type Air Conditioner

Energy Efficiency, Low Noise, and Clean Cooling Rank as Top Purchase Priorities

When buying a window-type air conditioner, the factor consumers consider most important is energy efficiency, which helps cut electricity costs, a survey has found.

Kiturami Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Jae-beom) announced that it conducted a consumer survey to mark the launch of the 'Kiturami Window-Type Air Conditioner.'

The survey was conducted online through Kiturami's official social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) from April 27 to May 8, with 1,332 consumers participating.

In response to the question, 'What do you consider most important when buying a window-type air conditioner?' 43% of all participants answered energy efficiency. As electricity bills and other utility charges have risen, consumers have shown strong interest in energy-saving, high-efficiency appliances.

Next, 28% of respondents cited 'low noise' and 26% cited 'clean cooling,' indicating a preference for products that operate quietly and are easy to keep clean.

In response to the question, 'What makes you hesitate when buying a window-type air conditioner?' 36% of all participants chose 'electricity costs,' reflecting the reasons behind their preference for products with high energy efficiency. Because these products are used in smaller spaces compared to standard air conditioners, installation (33%) and noise (27%) were also cited as major concerns.

Accordingly, energy efficiency and low noise also accounted for a large share of the features consumers expect from the Kiturami window-type air conditioner.

In response to the question, 'What are you most looking forward to in the 2023 Kiturami Window-Type Air Conditioner?' 41% of respondents chose 'a dual inverter that saves electricity and a Grade 1 energy efficiency rating.' 'Low noise of 33 decibels, quieter than a library' followed at 31%, and 'blocking 99% of bacteria and viruses with UV-C LED' accounted for 18%.

Newly launched this year with upgraded cooling performance and convenience features, the Kiturami window-type air conditioner uses a low-noise dual inverter compressor whose rotation speed is automatically adjusted according to indoor temperature, greatly improving cooling efficiency while significantly reducing operating noise. The Kiturami window-type air conditioner can be installed on your own even in small spaces such as compact offices, studio apartments, and children's rooms, but a free installation service is provided to further enhance customer convenience.
