Korea Virtual Reality's VR interior platform ‘Kobi Online’

Unveils Kobi Archi S, Kobi Kitchen S, Item Studio and more

Korea Virtual Reality (CEO Jang Ho-hyun), a company at the center of the domestic interior design market, announced that ‘Kobi Online,’ the virtual reality (VR) interior platform it develops and operates in-house, took part in ‘2023 KOREA BUILD WEEK,’ a specialized construction, architecture and interior exhibition held from February 16 to 19 at KINTEX in Ilsan.

At this exhibition, Korea Virtual Reality showcased Kobi Online's key services, including ‘Kobi Archi S,’ ‘Kobi Kitchen S’ and ‘Item Studio.’

Kobi Online's VR interior design program ‘Kobi Archi S’ provides a powerful 3D VR interior drawing and design tool set to change the paradigm of an interior design market dominated by 2D blueprints. The design process is also remarkably simple: without going through complex 3D work or rendering processes, it instantly creates high-quality, photorealistic VR drafts the moment furniture is placed.

In addition, because there is no need for separate program work—such as producing 2D drawings with 3D CAD or building 3D furniture directly using programs like 3Ds Max and SketchUp—the time and difficulty involved in the work are significantly reduced.

In particular, Kobi Archi S also supports the design of special spaces such as custom kitchens, offices and commercial spaces. It provides system furniture modules in various sizes as standard, and non-standard furniture tailored to individual customer needs can also be placed. The greatest strength of Kobi Archi S is that anyone can easily and quickly design any space they want, even without specialized knowledge or programs.

At the exhibition, Korea Virtual Reality also newly unveiled ‘Item Studio,’ Kobi Online's 3D furniture creation service. Unlike other 3D modeling programs, Item Studio is a program that allows users to quickly create 3D models of furniture or interior products with just a click of the mouse. Because it makes it easy to create desired furniture as 3D items that can be used in Kobi Archi S, it enables the provision of even more detailed VR design drawings tailored to customer needs.

Korea Virtual Reality said, “The newly released Item Studio will provide a powerful service that allows anyone to easily create the VR furniture models they want without separate modeling,” adding, “We plan to continue developing high-quality VR design services that apply the latest information and communications technology (ICT) so that the interior industry can offer more complete solutions to customers' diverse, customized design demands.”

Meanwhile, Korea Virtual Reality, a metaverse platform company, provides a variety of VR services through its in-house developed KOVI 3D engine. Its key services include ‘Kobi Online,’ a VR sales consultation tool for interior businesses, and ‘Kobi House VR,’ a mobile VR interior platform. In addition, the company has led the adoption of VR technology among architecture and interior firms by continuously implementing and advancing solutions for leading domestic kitchen, furniture and office interior companies such as LX Hausys, Livart, iloom, Moksan, Nexis and Borneo.
