Air Quality Improvement Confirmed
Coway (CEO Suh Jang-won), a Best Life Solution company, carried out an “Air Quality Diagnosis and Assessment Project” at Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital (Hospital Director Lee Chul-hee).
The project was designed to assess the indoor air quality of Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital, which opened in March last year, and to verify the air quality improvement effects following the installation of air purifier products.
The product used in the project was the Noble air purifier. The Noble air purifier features premium architectural design that has swept the world’s top three design awards, along with innovative air technology such as Air Pop-up Motion, which changes the direction of airflow as desired.
Coway measured air quality at seven locations, including the first-floor lobby and the respiratory center waiting room of Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital, over approximately five weeks from November 16 to December 21 last year, comparing conditions before and after the air purifiers were installed.
The measurements showed that, compared with before installation, most indoor air quality management indicators—including fine dust, ultrafine dust, airborne bacteria, mold, and formaldehyde—improved. In particular, fine dust and ultrafine dust were reduced by approximately 41%.
An official from Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital said, “We actively utilize air purifiers and air conditioning systems to create a safe hospital environment,” adding, “We will continue to do our utmost to manage indoor air quality within the hospital so that patients, visitors, and staff can live in a more comfortable and safe environment.”
