The ‘BEREX Pebble Chair’ from Coway (CEO Suh Jang-won), a best life solution company, has been recognized for its design excellence and named ‘Design of the Year’ at the ‘12th Korea Brand Awards 2024.’
Hosted by the Korea Marketing Association, the ‘Korea Brand Awards’ is a survey that selects companies that have generated results through customer-centered brand management and contributed to enhancing national industrial competitiveness. Among the award categories, ‘Design of the Year’ is presented to brands that have boosted their corporate competitiveness by prioritizing design as their foremost value, based on consumer surveys and expert deliberation.
In this evaluation, the Coway BEREX Pebble Chair won the ‘Design of the Year’ award, earning high marks for its differentiated aesthetics and usability.
The Coway BEREX Pebble Chair drew acclaim for its sophisticated design that blends naturally into any space. It comes in a total of four colors—Hazy Blue, Sand Beige, Terracotta Pink, and Mystic Grey—allowing users to choose according to their interior atmosphere and taste. It features a reclining function adjustable up to 137°, and its significantly reduced size lets users comfortably enjoy both rest and massage at the same time without taking up much space.
Despite its smaller size, the chair also earned high praise for its enhanced performance, equipped with a premium-grade massage system. It even adds a 3D massage module applied to high-end models and a patented ‘Hot Stone Therapy Tool’ that warmly acupresses pressure points and effectively relieves fatigue. Unlike 2D modules that move only up, down, left, and right, it moves precisely up to 7 cm back and forth as well, delivering a three-dimensional massage effect. Its ability to provide customized massage for each user through automatic body-type analysis and shoulder-position detection, and to be used by the whole family together, also drew high satisfaction.
