Multi Action Air Purifier 2

Central hole design boosts purification efficiency

Coway (CEO Suh Jang-won) has demonstrated its global design capabilities by winning a Silver award at the 2023 IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards).

The IDEA Design Awards is a globally prestigious design competition organized by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). Along with Germany's iF, Red Dot and Japan's Good Design Award, it is regarded as one of the world's four major design awards. This year, Coway received a total of three awards: the 'Multi Action Air Purifier 2 (AP-1523D)' won Silver, the Japan-market water purifier 'Icon Max Free (CHP-4600N)' won Bronze, and the 'Skin Plus Water Softener (BB16/17-A)' was named a Finalist.

The Silver-winning 'Multi Action Air Purifier 2' earned high marks for its circular design, featuring a round opening in the center that significantly increases air flow. Through the central hole, it delivers clean air about 2.5 times farther than existing products, enhancing purification performance and efficiency. It detects indoor air conditions in real time and displays them in four colors, allowing users to intuitively check the air quality in their home.

The water purifier 'Icon Max Free,' sold in Japan, won Bronze for eliminating installation space constraints. Its detachable water supply tank means it can be used conveniently even without a nearby water line. The water storage tank can be easily removed for cleaning, and an automatic UV sterilization function enhances hygiene. Its slim 26 cm width and minimalist, straight-line-focused design, which blends harmoniously with a variety of indoor spaces, also drew praise.
