In-house developed TPS Cartridge and TMP System secure domestic and international patents

From maintaining a constant water temperature to saving water for the environment

A ‘shower’ is essential for washing away the day’s fatigue and enjoying comfortable relaxation. There is now a patented faucet technology that raises the quality of the shower you take every day, allowing for a more satisfying and perfect experience.

TTi, a company specializing in faucets, has independently developed its ‘TPS Cartridge’ and ‘TMP System’ technologies—designed to deliver the perfect shower—and has obtained both domestic and international patents.

With conventional faucets, the water temperature changes when you turn the faucet off and on during a shower or when you adjust the water volume. A faucet equipped with the ‘TPS Cartridge,’ however, does not experience these temperature changes. This is because, unlike conventional faucet cartridges, it separates the temperature-control mechanism from the flow-control mechanism, preventing water-temperature changes in advance when the faucet is turned off or the water volume is adjusted. As a result, it reduces water waste—such as unnecessarily leaving the faucet running because repeatedly setting the desired shower temperature is a hassle during temperature-sensitive winter months—and it eases the inconvenience of having to adjust the temperature every time.

In addition, unlike conventional faucets with a 20–25 degree up-and-down type, the flow-control angle allows for 90-degree rotation, making fine adjustment of the water flow easy. A built-in diverter function lets you direct the water immediately in the desired direction, so you can expect both convenient use and water-saving benefits.

The ‘TMP System’ combines the TPS Cartridge with an in-house developed high-performance automatic pressure-regulating valve (Pressure Balancer) to realize the most ideal shower system. Its greatest feature is that it automatically adjusts, in real time, the water-temperature changes that result from pressure fluctuations in the plumbing lines—which occur for various reasons—maintaining the set temperature before a person can actually feel a change. By combining the TPS Cartridge, the distribution manifold, and the automatic pressure-regulating device into a single unit, it simplifies the structure of the shower faucet, and the system can be applied to both exposed and concealed (recessed) faucets.

TTi stated that faucet technology has seen little significant change since the single-lever faucet was developed in 1937, and that the TPS Cartridge and TMP System will bring about genuine change—providing the new experience of a perfect shower through a system that puts user convenience and the environment first.

TTi is a company specializing in faucets, holding a variety of domestic and international patented technologies, and it is receiving considerable industry attention for developing a concealed shower faucet that applies the TPS Cartridge. In particular, the Tectonics Collection—a new-concept shower faucet—advanced to the finals of Germany’s ‘iF Design Award 2021’ with its innovative design, earning acclaim from 91 top-level experts.

In addition, the rotating-type handle, with its flow-control range expanded to 90 degrees, enables easy fine-tuning of the water flow for water savings.
