Aimed at fostering continuous shared growth
Coway (co-CEOs Lee Hae-sun and Suh Jang-won), a best life solution company, announced that it held the ‘Suppliers Innovation Fair 2022’ on October 20, inviting its raw and subsidiary materials as well as product partner companies to its headquarters at G Tower in Guro-gu, Seoul.
The Suppliers Innovation Fair was organized to strengthen technological exchange between Coway and its partner companies and to promote continuous shared growth.
The Coway partner companies that took part in this event proposed innovative ideas across a range of fields, including new technologies, quality, ESG, and cost reduction. In particular, Coway partner company Powernet Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Don-ju) proposed ‘enhancing quality and reducing costs through innovation in process quality management technology,’ which was selected as one of the outstanding ideas.
Going forward, Coway plans to further strengthen mutual growth with its partner companies by applying the outstanding ideas proposed at this event to new products to be launched.
Coway said, “We are conducting extensive reviews so that innovative components and new technologies can be applied to our products in order to enhance the competitiveness of our partner companies,” adding, “We plan to continue carrying out a variety of innovation activities that enable us to grow together with our partner companies.”
Meanwhile, as part of its ESG management, Coway launched the ‘Outreach Wheelchair Basketball Experience Class’ and held its first session on October 19 for students in the Department of Sport Science at the University of Seoul, running an educational program that introduced the sport of wheelchair basketball along with its game rules and more.
The ‘Coway Outreach Wheelchair Basketball Experience Class’ is a program organized by Coway—which has been at the forefront of promoting the sport since founding its wheelchair basketball team—to improve awareness of disabilities and to raise interest in sports for people with disabilities. Players from the Coway wheelchair basketball team visit in person to conduct the classes. Coway plans to continuously expand the wheelchair basketball experience classes in partnership with various external organizations.
