Held Online
Proposing the Changing Office Environment
FURSYS (co-CEOs Bae Sang-don and Yoon Ki-eon), a company specializing in office environments, held the ‘2021 FURSYS Office Environment Seminar’ online from November 8 to 12.
Now in its sixth year, the 2021 FURSYS Office Environment Seminar was held under the theme ‘The Office Experiment.’ It proposed office environment strategies suited to the hybrid ways of working of the new normal era, and introduced a variety of corporate experiments regarding the office environment. Along with an introduction to FURSYS’ ‘Step by Step, Starting with Small Attempts’ campaign, the seminar shared reflections and experiments aimed at creating the optimal office that enables efficient work without barriers of time and space, based on the digital environment.
The seminar was pre-recorded and opened on November 8 through the official 2021 Office Environment Seminar website and FURSYS’ official YouTube channel, and it can be viewed at any time even after the seminar period.
This seminar opened with a special interview on ‘The Future of Space’ by Professor Yoo Hyun-jun of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Hongik University, followed by △ FURSYS’ themed seminar ‘In the Era of Hybrid Work, Raise the Value of the Office’ and △ the ‘Guide for the Experimenting Office’ space story. △ Interviews on the themes of ‘Designing a Continuous Innovation Journey’ by Doosan Digital Innovation and △ ‘Realizing Smart Work through Hub Offices’ by Hanwha Systems were also available to watch.
FURSYS stated that as ways of working change rapidly in the new normal era, the role of the office and the office environment are changing, and that this seminar offered great insights to companies by sharing strategies and experiments for building an efficient office environment starting with small changes.
Meanwhile, FURSYS has held its ‘Office Environment Seminar’ every year since 2016. It is establishing itself as a forum where office workers, architecture and interior professionals, and general consumers come together to share useful information and communicate about the office environment—the space where they work and the setting of their lives. Furthermore, through the seminar, FURSYS is presenting the changing role of the office, ways of working, and new trends as a company specializing in office environments, thereby solidifying its position as an office environment specialist. Last year, under the theme ‘Do We Really Need an Office?’, it presented a new perspective on the changes in the office environment brought about by the pandemic.
