Technology partnership agreement signed with BIPV specialist Korea Aviation Lighting Co., Ltd.

Solar power generation by day, video and text display by night

Transparent display specialist P2SG Global Co., Ltd. (CEO Cho Doo-hee) signed a technology partnership agreement this past June with Korea Aviation Lighting Co., Ltd. (CEO Ahn Yong-jin), a company specializing in building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems, and participated in SWEET (Solar, Wind & Earth Energy Trade Fair) 2021, a specialized exhibition for renewable energy and new energy industries held this past July in Gwangju.

P2SG Global possesses New Media Glass, which renders full-color video while maintaining 100% of the glass's transparency, and is accelerating the development of various products utilizing new technologies such as ICT disaster-safety elevator doors, IoT media automatic doors, and IoT smart handrails.

Korea Aviation Lighting, which has entered into this technology partnership with P2SG Global, is a company that designs and manufactures aviation-related lighting such as aircraft obstruction lights and explosion-proof aircraft obstruction lights, and has recently been targeting the BIPV market on the strength of its technological capabilities and market and sales power.

At this SWEET exhibition, the two companies unveiled a new product combining P2SG Global's new technology, New Media Glass, with Korea Aviation Lighting's ceramic-coated BIPV module. The product is a BIPV Media Wall in which a BIPV module is attached to the back of P2SG Global's New Media Glass, supplying solar-generated power to the building during the day and displaying video and text suited to the building's use at night.

The BIPV Media Wall, which applies the New Media Glass technology, is a technology that can capture both the aesthetics and energy efficiency of a building at the same time, and is an innovative product that can fully realize the effects of nighttime lighting and media advertising.

Cho Doo-hee, CEO of P2SG Global, expressed his ambition to target new markets by applying the technological capabilities and know-how accumulated to date to the new field of BIPV, while Ahn Yong-jin, CEO of Korea Aviation Lighting, expressed confidence that the company had secured an edge in technology and quality through the completion of an automated BIPV production plant at the end of August and performance testing of its 100W and 200W-class products.
