SKG153II and SKG353II

Hankuk Glass's gray color products, SKG153II and SKG353II, have been applied at the Alpha Dom City site in Pangyo.

Alpha Dom City, with a total floor area of approximately 1,332.3㎡ (about 400,000 pyeong) — equivalent to 180 soccer fields — is Korea's largest mixed-use complex on a massive scale, completed after roughly 15 years. It consists of some 10 buildings spread across 7 blocks. Located in the Pangyo new town, often called Korea's Silicon Valley, Alpha Dom City is home to Naver and Kakao side by side, forming a high-tech industry cluster centered on the IT sector and emerging as a key area.

In addition, Culture Valley, the world's first elevated pedestrian passageway at Alpha Dom City, connects four buildings in the air. It is planned as a space that will serve not only as a pedestrian walkway between buildings but also as a venue for events such as exhibitions and book cafés inside.

At Alpha Dom City, which stands tall as a landmark of Pangyo, the Double Low-E glass products SKG153II and SKG353II were installed in volumes of 15,400㎡ and 8,000㎡, respectively.

SKG153II and SKG353II are gray color Double Low-E glass products — high-performance Low-E glass boasting outstanding thermal insulation performance through two coated silver layers. Rather than the conventional method of separately coating a gray-colored base glass, the gray color is achieved through coating alone, creating an elegant appearance with rich, deep color, which is why it is widely applied to landmark buildings.

A Hankuk Glass official said, "Double Low-E glass products are widely applied to commercial buildings that require energy savings and aesthetic appeal," adding, "Pangyo is a key business district in the Seoul metropolitan area that has developed on the basis of high-tech industries, and with office buildings rapidly increasing, many of Hankuk Glass's project cases can be seen in Pangyo, including Pangyo Techno Valley, the Nexon Pangyo headquarters, the Pangyo CHA Bio Complex, and the Pangyo Gyeonggi Business Growth Center."
